Sekhem Energy Healing

In gratitude to my teacher and mentor Mtu Sakhmet Campbell, her teachers Amon-Ra Antares and Patrick Ziegler, all those who have kept the tradition going over the thousands of years since it came into being, the beings of the Ancient Egyptian (Kemetic) civilisation where Sekhem was first introduced, and the Sirian Starseeds who brought the Sekhem healing technology down to Earth.

What is “Sekhem”?

The term "Sekhem" can be translated as "power" or "might”. It is often associated with the Divine Power that sustains The Universe and all living beings. In the context of Ancient Egyptian culture, Sekhem is viewed as an essential life force, akin to the concept of “Chi", "Ki", and “Prana" in other spiritual traditions. It is considered a vital energy that exists in all things, and is a source of strength and vitality.

What is Sekhem Energy Healing?

Sekhem is a complementary energy healing system that originated in Ancient Egypt (earlier names being Tamare and Kemet). It supports physical relaxation, emotional calm, mental clarity, and spiritual / energetic balance. It is high-vibrational and high-frequency energy work. Sekhem Energy Healing complements medical or psychological care — it is not a substitute for clinical diagnosis or treatment.

Who is Ra Energy Healing for?

Ra Energy Healing is a powerful, high-vibrational modality utilising the power of Sekhem Energy Healing. Regular clients include:

  • Individuals experiencing somatic trauma symptoms (such as chronic nervous system dysregulation, chest pressure, gut issues, autoimmune flares) who are ready to purge and reclaim safety in the body.
  • Those feeling unseen and lonely in a hyper-connected world, craving real witnessing, depth, and presence beyond surface-level interactions.
  • Burnt-out and stressed high-achievers, overstimulated and anxious individuals, and former grind-culture survivors.
  • People who sense energetic clearing, but feel stuck in freeze, numbness, survival mode, and existential emptiness.
  • Awakened seekers drawn to connecting and working with high-frequency energies and quantum-level healing who want more than talk therapy or gentle modalities—they're ready for intensity, responsibility, and accelerated evolution.
  • Those who want more from Life, and sense that there is more available than just the physical world.

What happens during an energy healing session?

We will first check-in and talk about what brings you to the session. You will then be invited to lie down, relax, and close your eyes, either in-person or on screen. I will use a pendulum to check your 7 main chakras / arushaats (see next section below), plus the knees and feet. This will help identify the areas of the body to work on. I will then run Sekhem Energy through my hands and direct it to specific areas of the body. I will use light codes drawn over the body with my hands, that call down the power of various beings to aid the healing (see answer to deities below). I will be guided by you, Sekhem, and my own intuitive sense. I endeavour to be the clear channel that the energies can flow down through. Once this is done, I will use tools such as incense to cleanse the body. I will safely energetically close the work we’ve done and protect your energy. There will be time to discuss how you are doing after the treatment and what may have come up for you. There will be follow-up through email.

What is a chakra?

All life generates an energy field around it. A chakra is a centre of energy within the body. There are 7 main chakras, which run along the spine. Chakras (or Arushaats in Ancient Egypt, meaning “seats of light”) influence physical condition, emotional patterns, psychological states, and spiritual development. In Ancient Egyptian mythology, the 7 primary energy centres are known collectively as the Sefech Ba Ra. These are concentrated areas of Sekhem (life force) Energy, that govern various aspects of our existence on the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual planes (see answer to common arushaat/chakra blockages below). Arushaats have functions associated with each plane of existence.

Why are arushaats (chakras) important?

The arushaats (chakras) are responsible for all the different aspects of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual areas of our lives. Arushaats can become blocked by the accumulation of stagnant, negative energy. This can be caused by unresolved emotional traumas and issues, chronic stress, depression, and anxiety, negative thought patterns, physical lifestyle choices and impediments, lack of self-acceptance and expression, and disconnection from True Self and spirituality. Running Sekhem energy through these arushaats helps to clear and purify all levels of existence, with the body receiving holistic healing and energetic balance, improving physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. When the arushaats are functioning well, we experience a sense of harmony and deep peace.

Examples of common arushaat (chakra) blockages and the corresponding ailments:

Real Shifts Seekers Are Experiencing

Is there a particular Deity that Sekhem is related to?

Sekhem is personified as the Egyptian lion-headed Goddess Sekhmet, who is the guardian and protector of this energy. Sekhmet is the Goddess of war, destruction, and healing, who represents the fierce aspect of the sun's power. Sekhmet destroys that which no longer serves us, so that we can build on a new foundation. As well as Sekhmet, I work closely with the Egyptian Deities Ra (Creator Sun God and Sustainer of Life), Auset (Earth and Creator Goddess), Ma’at (Goddess associated with truth, justice, and cosmic order), Bastet (Goddess associated with home, fertility, childbirth, and protection), and Wadjet (Goddess associated with protection, healing, and restoration). Each of these deities has a light code or symbol that I will draw over the body during a session to bring down that particular energy to help the healing.

During a session, there may be additional non-physical beings that turn up to help. These could be specific to you and your belief systems, blood and spirit ancestors, and/or beings that are available to help at that time. There is lots of help available from the non-physical world - all we need to do is ask for help and be clear in our instructions. This is essentially what the power of prayer is. We can talk about this more in a session if this is of interest.

Are there any other energies that you work with?

I also work closely with the Sirians, beings who originate from Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky. Sirians are considered "Starseeds" or spiritual guardians, and they are believed to be aiding humanity's spiritual awakening and ascension during this time. In spiritual traditions, Sirius is often associated with high vibrational energies, wisdom, and advanced technologies. It is the Sirians who are believed to have introduced Sekhem to Ancient Kemet / Egypt. According to myth and legend, Sirius was present at the creation of our Universe.

Is Sekhem Energy Healing the same as Reiki Energy Healing?

The etymology of the word Reiki is – Rei which means “Ra’s or Re’s (God’s) Wisdom” and Ki which is “life-force energy” in Japanese philosophy. Ra and Re are Kemetic terms that refer to the Creator and Sustainer of Life. Therefore, Reiki is “spiritually guided life force energy stemming from the Creator / Sustainer of Life”. Although the healing art form was preserved by Japanese culture, its roots can be traced back to Ancient Kemet (Egypt). Sekhem works at a different level to Reiki, working with the Soul, various non-physical beings, and quantum realms to clear blockages, restore balance, and reconnect you to Source Energy.
