Who / what is energy healing for?
Energy healing is for anyone who wants to make a change in their life. Perhaps you feel stuck in pain, heaviness, stress, disease, anxiety, depression, loneliness, burn-out, numbness, survival mode, confusion, are seeking answers, deeper connections, and desire more from life. Ra Energy Healing is available for any seeker who is willing to show up and commit to themselves.
What is Sekhem Energy Healing?
Sekhem is a powerful energy healing technology that originated in Ancient Egypt. It works to harmonise and balance all aspects of a person's being -promoting physical relaxation, emotional calm, mental clarity, and spiritual / energetic balance. Sekhem Energy Healing is high-vibrational and high-frequency energy work, connecting the body to pure life-source energy. It complements medical or psychological care — it is not a substitute for clinical diagnosis or treatment.
What happens during an energy healing session?
We will first check-in and talk about what brings you to the session. You will then be invited to lie down fully clothed, relax, and close your eyes, either in-person or on screen. I will use a pendulum to check your 7 main chakras / arushaats (click here for more information), plus the knees and feet. This will help identify the areas of the body to work on. I will then run Sekhem Energy through my hands and direct it to specific areas of the body. I will use light codes drawn over the body with my hands, that call down the power of various beings to aid the healing (click here for more information). I will be guided by you, Sekhem, and my own intuitive sense. I endeavour to be the clear channel that the energies can flow down through. This is why I wear all white for the healing session. Once this is done, I will use tools such as incense to cleanse the body. I will safely energetically close the work we’ve done and protect your energy. There will be time to discuss how you are doing after the treatment and what may have come up for you. There will be follow-up through email.
What will it feel like during the session?
Clients often feel warmth, tingling, deep relaxation, sense new light, and experience mental clarity. Responses vary from person to person and is subjective to each session and individual.
How will I feel after a session?
Clients often describe feeling lighter, calmer, more centered, able to breathe better, and at peace after a session.
Do I need prior experience?
No — sessions are tailored to your needs and comfort level.
Is it safe?
Yes — sessions are professional, confidential, and designed for your wellbeing. These methods of energetic healing have existed for thousands of years. Energy healing supports your natural energy flow, you remain fully in control throughout.
Does Sekhem Energy Healing involve touch?
Sekhem Energy Healing is non-invasive and is channelled through the hands. I endeavour to be the clear channel by which various healing energies can come through to heal wherever it is directed over the body. If during the session you or I feel that hands need to physically touch the body, this will be done with your expressed and explicit consent. Your safety is paramount at all times.
Why is your healing practice named “Ra Energy Healing”?
Ra is the Ancient Egyptian (Kemetic) Sun God and Creator of all Life. Ra is a Deity that I feel particularly connected to, especially through the healing and regenerative power of The Sun. The Sun feels like home to me. I aim to embody the qualities of Ra, bringing you warmth, growth, light, presence, connection, and new life during a healing session.
Is Sekhem Energy Healing the same as Reiki Energy Healing?
The etymology of the word Reiki is – Rei which means “Ra’s or Re’s (God’s) Wisdom”, and Ki which is “life-force energy” in Japanese philosophy (Sekhem being the equivalent in Ancient Kemetic / Egyptian philosophy). Ra and Re are Kemetic terms that refer to the Creator and Sustainer of Life. Therefore, Reiki can be defined as “spiritually guided life force energy stemming from the Creator / Sustainer of Life”. Although the healing art form was preserved by Japanese culture, its roots can be traced back to Ancient Kemet (Egypt). Sekhem works at a different level to Reiki, working with the Soul / Higher Self, various non-physical beings, and quantum realms to clear blockages, restore balance, and reconnect you to Source Energy.
